Despite their very large size, Brahmas are known as Gentle Giants,
due to their very tame, quiet, nature. They make excellent pets, and farm foragers. The males can get as large as 12 lbs,
and the females, 9 1/2 lbs. They have very soft, beautiful, black and white feathers, in a very stiking pattern.
The hens lay large brown eggs, excellent for eating or hatching. The hens are also good setters.
They lay best in cold weather months.
